stealership

i went to the stealership today and was going to buy new spark plugs, spark plug wires, and oil filter. the filter was only 9 bucks but this is how much the other stuff cost:

md363552 coil assembly 148.76*2 = 297.52
md343245 cable set 33.90
md374841 spark plug 20.84*4 = 83.36

This seems ridiculus, it seems way overpriced, and the reason i have the 2 coils on my list is because the service guy said the wire set just came with 2 wires, i needed to buy the coils to get the other 2 spark plug wires. this makes no sense can anyone help me find this stuff cheaper?

you only need the 2 wires since the coil itself sits on top of a spark plug. i believe its a waste spark setup

You have the part numbers why don't you go to mistubishiparts.net and get the stuff cheaper. I can understand replacing the plugs but if the coils and wires are good why change them? You can go to autozone and other autoparts stores and get the ngk bpr7es for a evo with basic bolt-ons or bpr8's wich are a step colder for cars with cams. I use the bpr7's and change them evry oil change(can't go wrong with $2 plugs)-if you do a search about these plugs you will find this what evryone recomends for the evoVIII.

There are only 2 spark plug wires - take a look under your hood and you'll understand. But unless you're having issues I wouldn't get new wires unless I was upgrading them to Ralliarts or such. You do not need the coils.

You can find OEM spark plugs for way cheaper than that on Amazon.com - just search on the plug number, or eBay as stated earlier:
