LMBO!!!!! That is hilarious. That honda got seriously dropped. Man, the cops are getting creative. Did you hear the part about the "wheels costing more than my whole car" HAHAHA
Thank you, that made my whole day better.
Once its impounded, they can slap enough fees and fines on it to make it impossible to get it out... Then its theirs to do whatever they want with it... I feel like its a good thing honestly. If after court and everything is said and done, and you are found guilty of street racing (not just charged) then yeah, you don't deserve to be on the streets anymore...
On another note, they revoke licenses for a while after being found guilty of street racing, so you can't really use the car after that anyhow...

Street racing kills how many every year?
How many does Drunk driving kill? A **** TON. Yet they don't take their cars and crush them? Why not? It's a far more deadly violation?
You know why because street racing is a minority. A large population of people can say they have received a DUI or whatever your state calls it. I bet if people knew their car would be crushed if they received a DUI they would stop driving drunk.
Everyone always says they are against street racing but I guarantee if you drive your Evo on the street you have engaged in a speed contest and to say you haven't is complete and utter bull****.
Something tells me a small group of people out street racing at 3am on empty roads vs. a drunk at 1am cruising home, that the drunk has a much greater chance of hitting or killing someone vs. the group of sober people on empty roads.
Again I think the government is not looking at the big picture and singling out a very small issue instead of dealing with a real problem.

Never said I didn't like Drunk Drivers either... Well said though, and i see fully see your point. I feel out DWI/DUI laws are way to lax... I have a brother with 3 DUI's and he still does it... No license, no insurance, etc... What can ya do...
BTW, I never know when he does it, I usually find out afterwards or I'd call the cops in him myself...

Agreed, I can't stand the way the State PoPo's treat ME personally here in VA. I have completed 3 tune projects so far, but the most attention I ever got was from a RED Honda Civic, pulled over once a month like clockwork and didn't have any speeding tickets either!! Whole slew of illegal equipments though!!
Point is that yeap I have street raced and even played with my toys all when no other cars are around, never have I personally hurt anyone/anything excepth for 2 deer now!!! lol
I think the laws around racing on the streets are out of control personally, fella's its not real difficult to get accused of racing these days leaving a Stop Light, and you go straight to jail, no questions asked!!!! and you face a good chance of the judges trying to make an example out of you, which sucks even worse!!!
I would say that any on here that says they have never raced on the street when they own/drive a race car (for all intents and purposes) is a liar as well.
All that said, I haven't been pulled yet with my EVO, but its not arrest me red either... but its only a matter of time around here I think.

I do like the movement of racers taking it to the track however. I think thats GREAT and much more safe. What kills me is around her at the strips, when everyone is leaving, the cops are out in force pulling mods over right and left less than a few miles away... So the people that ARE taking it to the track to be safe are STILL targeted by the police, tuners and gear heads just alike, but agree that the tuners are the main target these days.

Does the car really become like the police's or whoever's car because you cant pay the fine or are they supposed to hold it until you can pay it? because that kind of seems like one of those things that could fall under a "cruel and unusual punishment" you know? It is a too extreme of a penalty for the "crime"
