Damage assessment

Some girl ran a redlight Tuesday night and smashed into me (its her fault, she was issued a ticket on site and I had a witness). I know there is a stuff internally that could be wrong here, but any of you guys had similar damage and any idea what it would cost?

Heres what I know is busted:
1. Driver front fender
2. Front bumper
3. Hood
4. Drive headlight
5. ACD resevoir
6. Air filter

I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if the axel is bent as well causing the wheel to pitch out like that.

Anyone have any pointers or any things to look at? (eg. front diff/acd/etc).
Any tips on dealing with the insurance adjuster?
Appreciate the help. Hopefully this pic will give you a good idea on what kind of damage I have.

Sucks to have the car banged up, but it'll be nice to have a freshly painted hood and another new front bumper.

Time for a

Car is back!
Well after almost two months, I finally got my car back! The rental expense was around 2800$ and the total bill for parts/labor is currently at 8800$ with more coming I think. Here's what was done:
1. New Driver front fender
2. New ACD Pump (2,000$ by the way)
3. New Evo IX front bumper and lower left front grill
4. New Evo IX front lip (the sent the wrong one 3 times - one of the reasons for the 2 month timeline)
5. New paint on both mirrors, front fenders, hood (wasnt busted after all), bumper and lip
6. New JDM MR headlights ($700 from Z1 - thanks guys!)
7. New HID kit (hidevolution - xetronic kit - Evo VIII HID housings and a HID kit were on the car at time of accident)
8. Car color sanded and buffed - all panels

Heres the finished product:

It really doesnt look that bad (i worked for a car dealer and got to see some REAL damage...). All the parts you listed plus grommets and such. Probably some suspension compoents. Wouldn't say its totaled though.

Quite bit, not sure on a number range easily 3k I would thing with all the repainting involved if nothing else internally was wrong. No worries though cause her insurance should cover it. Hope its back to normal soon!

Front mount intercooler, intercooler pipes, radiator, and especially the oil cooler but it is on the other side, but take a close look at it. You pay for insurnace so if you are not 100% happy/satisifed then dont sign anything. Remember you dont have to replace with OEM parts, if you want aftermarket, hood, bumper then get it instead of the OEM. sorry for your misfortune. But am so glad you are ok....

Thats WAY more than 3K..trust me I know...prob in the high 5K range...IF the intercooler, pipes, are damaged. And the undertray is trash too. Inner fenders, and lots more need to be replaced.....dont rush into getting the check, take a long hard look before you sign...think about aftermarket rather than OEM...

I would of broke more stuff on the car so the insurance would of just of total your car and get an new car. The more stuff you repair it the more stuff going to break. It going to cost you a lot.

wtf worst advice ever.

OP double check everything even things you might not think are damaged, and maybe time for some aftermarket parts

I think you're looking at even more than that if they do the car right. Either way, I think it's safe to say you're not totalled. Good luck with your fix. Time to upgrade!

Get a bunch of estimates by different adjustors/body shops to get an idea of the range of prices and to make sure that no details are overlooked. Every last little crappy plastic connector should be accounted for in the assessment.

Go after the other drivers insurance company to get back the full value, your deductable, and diminished value of the vehicle. (Subrogation is a wonderful thing).

If the other drivers insurance company gives you any crap, have the repairs done to your satisfaction through your insurance company and let your insurance company go after the other drivers company.

People suck.

Thanks for the help here. Appreciate it. I have it currently at a shop that is licensed by my insurance company and I know the owner, so I'm not really worried about it being done right and to my satisfaction. I'm going through my insurance company and I'll let them battle it out. The only thing I'm going through hers for is the rental car (I dont have rental coverage).

I purchased my headlight housings from someone on this board, so they are '04 hid housings. Hopefully I can pick up a set of JDM MR headlights to match my tails.

As far as hood, I think I'll just keep it OEM and hopefully get another IX bumper (my car is an VIII with a IX front).

I'm just hoping I can source this stuff through vendors here and save some cash. Then use anything else for new suspension, rims, or whatever else.

I'm expecting it to be pretty costly, in the 6k range to be honest.

I'll update this thread when I get some more information - adjuster should be looking at it today.

Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about your accident. At least it was not your fault.

On a side note, are those Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 tires I see on there?
