Im about to purchase an evo 9 used.. most likely the SE, as I hear the MR has weaker gears for the 1/4 and such...

Do all the EVO 9s have a launch control? Or is it just the MRs.... The only evo 9s i have been in were all MRs.. thanks guys! Hey.. and if your selling your evo 9 leave some info below!

 

They have rev limiters but they are high RPMS, which getting them dropped will give you your launch control

 

I think there 5500 rpms

LOL I mean the limiter is basically the launch control, well part of it anyways and having it set at around 5k is a good pop off stand point to build boost to launch.

So it does have a 2 step... Or what Im trying to say is that it has the same launch control as a 9 mr.. where you can build boost from a stop correct?

2005-2006 have a launch control that you can set that works similar to a 2step but not as effective, we do build around 10 pounds of boost typically.


A real 2step bounces the rpms between two points and creates more boost
