Damn that's hardly any boost...On my 05 Evo VIII with the stock limiter at 5,000rpms I built about 10 psi. Now with my reflash I have it set to 5700 and I build about 14-15psi. I just have a catback, reflash, and drop-in filter. I spun all 4 tires every single time at the drag strip this past November. I ran a 13.48 with a 2.1 60ft. which is absolutely horrible. I also had a FULL tank of gas. If I didn't have it set to 5700 I would have bogged each time.

No it's not a damn 2step, which is why in the 1/4 stock for stock MR is slower.

what are you talking about the 1/4 mile? that is a stupid statement and has nothing to do with the stationary rev limit

1) All USDM Evos have it (Bryan already said this, but people must not have noticed)

2) 03-04s have it but it's set at nearly 8000rpm, which is higher than the rev limiter, so for a long time no one knew it was there, and newbies still think it's something special on IXs or in this case MRs http (Bryan already said this)

3) 05-06s have it set at 5k from the factory, which was an attempt to keep people from launching at high rpm and breaking the drivetrain. However, it ended up becoming the way we set our launch control, since it's easily customizable in the ECU (Bryan already said this)

4) MRs do not have a slower 1/4-mile - not sure what the hell juice was talking about

5) Strife, you may be new to Evos, but does that mean you're new to the Internet? You don't' come into the middle of a damn thread and start asking a newbie question that has been asked AND answered a few hundred times IN THE PROPER FORUM (Drag Racing or Driving Techniques). Did you really think no one has ever asked that question here? Wake up...
