05+ have launch limiter at 5000rpm

03-03 have it set at 7969 which basically makes it not work. Drop it to your desired rpm via a tune and you are good to go.

both evo 8 and evo 9 have 2 steps, the thing is the RPM's on the 8's are set higher than the ones on the 9's.

All USDM Evo's have a stationary rev limiter or limited launch control, however as it's already been stated in a previous post the 03's stationary rev limiter is set above the normal rev limiter thereby making it non-functional.

Also, from the factory the IX's stationary rev limiter is set to 5000rpms, it's purpose is to protect the drivetrain components from shock damage due to the sticky tire compound on the car. Most people change this value to 6000rpms so that the car will spin the tires a little off the line instead of bogging.

I heard that my IX had this as well. But I tried it the other day and the RMPs grew a lot higher than 5k before I let off. Is there a way to get this to work, could it have been removed with the previous owner did the re-flash?

I have however barely touched the limiter on the top end while running...

If you bought it used then he might have unplugged it or raised it. The best way to find out is to pull up your ecu on a laptop using the tactrix cable.

U can say that. I'm in need of a retune. I'm only tuned for 19 PSI

I got tuned before I installed my boost controller.

You have to be at a "stand still" with the car in 1st and the clutch pushed all the way down as well as the gas... The most boost i could build was about 6-7psi... and feather the clutch out, dont just dump it....
