Official EVO Insurance Thread
You're in MA. Their rates are pretty high, and your state's Department of Insurance is pretty strict, which discourages other carriers from offering coverage there.
It's hard acquiring competitive rates in a state where there a few companies that write in that state due to their regulations.
I have Esurance and I pay $109/month for full coverage. I'm 24, live at home, and have it under pleasure driving since the car will only be out in the summer months. Just to let people know, they give a discount for having a paypal account, I don't know if anybody had mentioned that in the thread. I also get a discount for being a good student with a 3.0 GPA. If you ask, a lot of times they will find random discounts to give you.
I know I don't own an Evo, but I have a first en Ralliart (NA) I pay 250 a freaking month. I'm 19 and the insurance is MetLife, I have a bundle with home insurance...and the car is under my mothers name -_-
Edit: I'm in new York btw, hour north of NYC.

i need some help
i need help with my split second tuner it came from rrm untuned an it was suppose to be pre tuned i just put it on my 03 oz an i noticed all my values are 10 or 0. can anyone send me the rrm maps for the oz or just a good tune i can work from.
I sold my 2008 Evo X recently, but mine was $60 a month, $1000 deductible, full coverage with Allstate. 28 year old male in NC. No claims, tickets, insurance points, or license points of any kind in 12 years so I have every single discount possible. I also have 2 cars on my insurance and you get a tremendous discount for having multiple cars. There's another big discount for having home owners insurance with them as well.
Keep in mind that if you get 2 tickets within 3 years, or even 2 claims within 3 years, your insurance will automatically double, triple, or even quadruple based on how many points you got on your license. So if I got two speeding tickets within 3 years, for say 20 over, I would be paying $250 a month instead of $60. I know a lot of people on here have bad traffic histories with multiple tickets, claims, etc. so that's where the ridiculous prices are coming from, not your age or insurance company. I bought my SRT-4 when I was 22 with no credit and was still paying like $70 a month in insurance.

I believe she said I could pick where ever I wanted to go. And she put the max for coverage for me. I wasn't going to put the max but it only made a $3 difference so it made sense to go that way. Also, that includes rental and towing and I think she said towing is up to 150 miles.

Ahh gotcha that's good to know.
