Good one. Next time maybe just try slowing down even more when being tail gated. It really pisses them off and most likely doesn't wreck your sh*t. Even better they might get irritated,fly by you and wreck their sh*t.

I know the road very well. I drive my car to the limit every time I'm in it. After all, that is what the Evo is made for. Anybody that wants to say I'm bad driver probably drives their Evos like old ladys. The fact is I've made that corner hundreds of times without a problem. I just had those snow tires put on and I had no idea how much flex and lack of grip they had. The ABS just went nuts coming in to the corner, it felt just like trying to slow down on ice. I will buy another Evo. With the X coming out there should be a lot of used ones for sale.

 

Same here, I usually turn on my rear fog when someone tailgates me and if thats not enough I drive slower. Usually when I turn on the fog light a lot of people slow down right away. One time I was driving down my street guy starts to tailgate me so I turned on my fog, not enough so I slowed down to almost a crawl and guy behind me got the message and got off my butt so I continued normal speed.

 

that sucks....... the person that was tailgating you was probably laughing.......... hahaha no offense... glad your ok... but, damn.......

 

They pulled over and commented on the fact that the car was "fast as hell." I just said yeah it was.

 

I think it's totalled, too.. i had an accident few month ago, and the guy saw that the roof was bend, and said the frame is messed up, it was good in my case since it was only GTI and not my fault.. Evo down . That sucks.. Glad you are OK, though..

 

Nope. You're very wrong on this one. I drive my car hard as hell. Ask anyone on this forum who has been in my car before. The difference is I know the limits before I do something stupid (example: every time I change brakes, tires, etc. I always break them in and THEN learn how the car reacts.)

Capability and distance perception owned you on this one.

Evo + wet/icey roads + curve + snow tires = brake early(not step on gas and drift)
