Kind of Disturbing
Ok today I just realised something.
I have accounts on a few forums including, SRT, Ls1, mustang etc, and they all take so much **** on imports and supprisingly alot of crap on Evo's.............. why do you guys think they talk so much smack on us lol? I mean i've been a member of EvoM for a good while and I dont read anything about "how i beat the dog crap out of this mustang or that srt4" . Geuss its ENVY <"corrected"......?

Definitely jealousy, i get it all the time from my good frinds with srt 4s, mustangs, etc.... But most of them are jsut trying to show off to their friends, when were chillin alone most of them will be like "Brett, im not going to lie, im in love with you car blah blah blah" Just ignore those post and move on lol, people are idiots.
A lot of people on these types of forums are naturally pre-disposed to liking their car more, and others not so much...
I'm not gonna spout the playground line of "they're just jealous" cause I really don't think that applies a lot of the time. If they were really that jealous, wouldn't they just sell their car and get an evo or do something to make it work? I mean, look at how many people busted their hump to get an evo, only to sell it 6 months later because they realized they really can't afford it. Sorry, maybe I'm wandering off the path here and oversimplifying. IMO, most times its just sheer ignorance or hate, and we all know those reasons aren't just relegated to car forums.
Just ignore it and move on man...it's just about personal taste.

Trending Topics
ROFL, couldn't have said it better myself!
A) They're jealous
B) They're fanboys (which happens more with American Muscle than with the Evo[Pacific Muscle in general], though not much more)
C) We do the same thing, its human nature to ego boost and trash talk
May not be many SRT4 bashing threads (though plenty "Neon" comments). But there are plenty of bashing posts on just about every car out there, from an actual Neon up to Ferraris. Its human nature to try to justify liking what we have (can't remember the actually psychology word for that, its been 4 months since I graduated haha). Unless we truly accept what we have as what it is, we will always be like that. I did it with the S2k, did it with the Evo, even still do it a little with the Porsche, especially when people talk about 335i (which was my second choice). Bash what we don't have to make us not want it, worship what we have because we have it... Any REAL car enthusiast though would want a car from each of those forums you talked about and here. If it were possible I would have one of every car/truck/suv, I love em all for differing reasons.

its because they are kids and we are grown men. Remember when you were a kid all the trash talk that went on. When you grow up you realize why waste your time on people who are "under you" you know your better and dont need to rub it in, to much in life to waste time. Who wants to go through life and say to everyone that walks by, "hey I got a better shirt then you, my girlfriend is hotter than yours, im stronger than you, im healthier than you, hey.......
you wouldnt' get anything done in life.
next time someone trash talks you for whatever reason just tell them this
"there are some people who drink from the fountain of knowledge and others like yourself who only gargle from it"

all the trash talk on evom is collected in this garbage bin: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=223313
oh and anything that is actually street racing isn't allowed here anyway...

One reason we probably do not see it more here is because they do not allow street racing threads. I know that alot of forums do not have the same rules, so you end up with alot more: "Just trashed this Mustang out on Broadway today, had 10 lenghts on him before it was all over. Mustangs suck!!!!!"..........just an example, not that Mustangs really suck......or do they?

" No replacment for deplacment "

They just dont want to admit it. There is an other way around. Also because that was they only justification to have a big dummy engine . So they keep coming back with they "kill stories"...to prove to each other : it is worth it!
And the other hand we dont need that.
You get the hatred from those who are in love with their particular cars for whatever reason, but are not true enthusiasts. True enthusiasts respect cars for what they are rather than for what they are not.
I have no problems with mustangs, camaros, vettes (i love vettes actually), trans ams, etc. They are all sweet looking coupes that are really good in straight lines and have sweet all-american eight can exhaust notes(well, the vette is good around bends, too). However, the Evo is good in straight lines, bends, and any weather - oh yeah, and its foreign (big no, no). Plus, it has the utility of 4 doors and a trunk. It is about as atypical of a sports car as you are going to get...which, from an ignorant domestic-obsessed fanboy's perspective, it gives them all the reason in the world to hate.
I drive my car because of what it does for me, not for what it does for others. I think most Evo owners feel this way...if only it were like that for most domestic owners.
