i did a battery relocation to the trunk with a full sized stock battery. Never had any issues

Yes. But I had went with the PC680MJ-T. Which is basically the PC680, but with a red metal jacket around it, and SAE terminals.

These are the kind of BS motifications that I stay away from. IMHO, you're taking away from the car if you have to deal with BS problems like this. Might as well drive a 1990 AWD DSM.
