it is real carbon fiber. My advice if u get the trunk badge or even the mitsu front one do not remove it from the plastic mitsu it comes in. I thought it looked a little cheap so i removed the mitsu carbon fiber pieces then glue them to my stock ones and messed up my front bumper.

I would highly recommend not purchasing anything from that seller, I am still waiting for my shipment (ordered on 15 December) and paid 10 bucks to ship. He said it shipped out on the 17th and would be 5-7 business days. His customer sservice is poor as well. I have filed a paypal claim and will not do business with him again.

I bought the c/f Evolution IX rear badge on ebay (and I think it was from that guy). Got it quickly, it was very high quality, all of the numbers & letters stuck very well (he includes all of the letters and setting tray for both IX and VIII). It's a great product for the price. The letters on mine haven't faded or anything, but my car never sits in the sun for long periods of time either. I guess my only complaint, if any, would be that you have to take extra care when washing/drying around the letters because the edges of the letters will snag towels, since they are rough. They aren't visibly rough, but just enough to grab whatever it is you're washing/drying with. But I really like the kit he sold me, good quality for the price...
