Greddy turbo timer making me angry!!

I recently purchased and installed the Greddy Turbo timer and am having a bit of a problem which is pissing me offfff( i know there are threads about TT problems but this one seems different and i cant find any).
Anyways, i have the timer set for 30 seconds and when i turn on my car when the TT goes on it starts counting up from 30 to 31..32..33..34..35 and so on like minutes and seconds. Then when i turn my car off whatever "time" that is on the turbo timer, it will start to count down from that. say my car was on for 8min20sec it will start to count down from that and i cant seem to keep the timer at 30 sec. HELP!!

BTW the Greddy owners manual is worthless seeing as how i cant read japanese

thats one of the modes. Your in the counter mode. Hold the power button and hit the(cant remember the name but not the time one ) Then you will see different modes everytime you hit those 2 button at the same time. The modes are p-1,p-1,H,L and maybe a few more. Keeping playing with it I cant remember the name of the mode

I have the english and japanese instruction manual. I think Kreionic might be right. Page 12 discusses "Count Down Mode" According to the manual you're in either L/ H mode. You need to be in P1 / P2 mode for the countdown feature. Hold down the "P" and then depress the "S" button while holding down "P" to scroll through modes. Set L/H to 0 which is factory default. Hope that helps.
