Sell your car take the 12k and buy one of the many 35R cars for sale for 25-30k...you'll come out way ahead then starting from scratch, even if you do do the labor yourself.

My first setup had 1000cc's and 27% IDC. My new setup is going to have the stock 550cc's and the 1000cc's. Going a little extra always leaves room for expansion in my opinion.
