ATTN: Spooldyou IS a Scammer

About a month ago, I sent Spooldyou, Anthony Sarra, payment for a set of rims he was selling on evom.

Here is a link to his thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=306471

I wanted those Rays rims he was selling, which was also greatly misdescribed because that rim size and bolt pattern don't even exist. He sort of cleared up the misdescription by giving me his phone number and trying to explain it over the phone. I agreed to purchase it anyways because it seemed to be a good deal.

Before the final sale, he was in contact with me constantly and he tried to be helpful. We spoke over the phone, through emails and PM's. After the sale, he began to avoid my phone calls, PM's, and emails. He replied to me twice after the sale giving me a lame excuse about why he didn't ship the rims out and that he is in the process of shipping it out.

Long story short, I never recieved the rims or a tracking number and he still avoids my messages and won't refund my $500. Spooldyou IS A SCAMMER.

I already filed a paypal claim and did a chargeback. He didn't even respond to the paypal claim, but I guess there was no reason for him to since he already withdrew the money from his paypal account and had $0 left in it.

He also had a great itrader rating and I used to feel safe buying parts from people with a good rating. Now I feel that the itrader rating is a good tool for scammers to use to scam you.

Anthony Sarra seems to go to meets in the Boston area, so If anyone knows Anthony Sarra or has met him before, give him a good kick in the head.

I was out of $500 for Christmas and New Years, so I hope everyone else on evom had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

The $0 does not matter. Paypal will charge or has already charged him with the $500, and now his account shows as -$500, which he will have to deposit to balance it to $0 if he wants to avoid creditors calling him and going on his record as a collection.

If he really is a scammer, where all evidence points to, then he won't care about creditors or collection.

Same here, I don't buy used unless the person is local. I meet him or her, We exchange the money and parts and call a day.
Sorry to hear about this man, good luck

Tom

ForgivenEvo> you need to #1 leave - feedback on his EvoM account so no one else gets screwed by this guy. #2 PM the mods (Speedlimit) with all the info. they are really good at getting these things settled. if they can't, they will ban him by IP address so, again, no one else gets screwed. sorry to hear about this. good luck in getting this resolved.

That is only the case if he has a CC registered with them. If his account balance is zero and he does not have any kind of CC or debit card registered, there's not really anything paypal can do.

Damn thieves. It seems to me the guys that "no longer own an Evo" are the ones ripping people off. There are so many good deals in the FS section but I just don't trust people that live across the country from me. So I'm always hesitant from biting the bullet and sending out money.

But I'm there are quite a few sellers out there you can trust.
