Wet and corroded wiring harness.

Last week my srs light and service engine soon light both came on... I took it to the dealer. They told me the wiring harness was all wet and corroded. They replaced the harnessno problem and resealed it.

... well last night my little bro installed my amp and subs, when I picked up the car from the shop he works (he installs lights sirens etc. on police cars) He told me the carpet and the metal under the rear seat was soaked and the carpet was moldy!

I have another appointment tomorrow morning at Porcarro Mitsu in Racine WI.

Anyone else have this probelm? Mine is a 06 with 50k

I would take out your subs you just installed so that they do not try and blame your leaking problem from the installation of the wiring.

Well just ot back from the dealer... the water leak is from when the body shop installed my vortex gen. they put 2 rivets on each side under the rain gutter to secure it with out putting some sort of silicoln to protect it from this...

Called the body shop, told me it will cost me $600-$700 for new carpet and labor!

should I be paying for this or should I be asking the body shop who improperly installed it. After all, the reason I went to them is for proffesional installation with no worries... well now I have worries!

^ that sucks. The body shop should def. pay for the repairs. If they refuse take them so small claims court!

The body shop should pay all damages incurred from improper installation.

thats what the mitsu dealer said...He is a nice guy by=ut I dont really think I should be paying for this..... I already had to pay $105 for the diagnosis due to it not being covered by warranty.
