Wow, someone didn't do any research. KiiD2x, you can reach 11's on a IX without spending so much. Fuel Pump, 3" TBE, Drop in Filter, MBC, Alky and a good tune will get you just about where you want depending on how well you launch. If all your looking for is 11's and are set on doing a turbo upgrade, then go with a 50 trim or at GT30R and enjoy.

my recomendation is to settle for mid to high 11's and heres why...

A mid to high 11 second street car with AWD with hang if not beat mid to high 10 second track cars (without AWD) so why not just get some cams, head studs, fuel pump, some basic bolt-ons with meth and call it a day...It's way more fun, way cheaper and way less turbo lag...LIKE NONE!

But if you wanna fun low 11's go with a 50 trim/gt3076r setup from a reputable company, get some cams with head studs, get yourself your basical bolt-ons and a good tuner and have a blast!!

Hope that helped...

As has been mentioned by most, there are far more streetable turbochargers than the 42R which will allow you to meet your goals of streetable and 10s. What can be classified as "streetable" is of course subjective and based on personal opinion, but if you'd like mine I welcome the opportunity to discuss options with you!

Hey man, we're located right in NY and if you want you can shoot me an e-mail or call me and I can explain to you exactly what you will need to get what you want. We deal with just about everyone that makes parts for evos and we've already bought together numerous 10 second evos as well as a 9 second one. Let me know

Stock IX's (stock block & stock turbo) will go sub 11's no problem. There are three that have proven this in the Phx area: MR on stock turbo got 11.75 @ 115; non-MR hit 11.83 @ 116mph; another MR hit 11.90 @ 116mph

Mods:
- TBE, boost controller, WFP255, intake, headstuds
- Custom tune & a good clutch are must have's... (we use the Carbonetic Twin-Carbon)
- Cams (you can go with or without this one)

If you want to go deeper into the 11's, then the FP Green is an option.

This is a lot cheaper than going with a full-blown motor build and turbo kit... unless u want sub-10's

cheers

sub 11's means below 11's. I think he wants to go 10's

do'h! my bad... i must still be sleeping It would have been a lot easier to just say 10's or 9's

If that's the case, then a 35r with accompanying mods would do

+1.

These type of posts seem to pop on Evom every so often, where a seemingly new Evo owner either:

1. Wants to know how to make xxx amount of HP (usually a very high amount)
2. Wants to know how to make a 10-second Evo

FWIW I think it's mostly younger new Evo owners with stars in their eyes of having a high HP Evo without knowing or considering all the ancillary costs in having such a car.

Well said! A FP green can take him to mid 11's and doesn't cost as much as a 30R would cost him since he can use a lot of his stock stuff.

LMAO!!! Financially I will have enough for my first set up I mentioned do to savings...I Did do research just now (Even though I thought it would be easier to just ask, But some of you guys rather waste your time and bash me rather than answer the question)

It turns out I will be saving alot with bolt ons and my stock engine...And I Will be getting High mid 11's...Thats cool, I asked for Sub 11's *Sorry for the confusion, Sub 11's meaning anything under 11 no matter what it is.... Running stock engine risk chances of blowing it...No?

Im not looking for an 11 Second car I have a low 12 second one.

Plus whats the point of having an 11 second car when well over 10000 people have that same car running the same time as you do!?!? And there are 250000+ more people running a different car that possibly payd half as less as you did that are running the same time as you do?!?!?

Believe me I knew I was paying nearly 40000 dollars for the car and about 10000 in insurance....WTF!!! Is another 15000 to make my car one out 50000 other cars that go fast? For 39k I want that car to run so fast if I where to start someone halfway from the finish the whooping they recieve is so tremendous that the next time they see my Evo they will be ****ting Horsepower!

You guys may be fine with your 11-12 seconds and thats fast..But the guy in the Civic or Mustang that payd no where near what you payd is beating your *** ferociously im not gonna be the one to read your thread on why your $40000 car got beat by a $2000 Civic with $10000 in mods....

I want to thank those of you who helped me..I will be keeping your information in mind...And I think I have got all the information that I need..

Ima run the 2.3L with the gt35..I might even do the gt42 because nothing says overkill like a 10 second evo. Lol, AND, Im prolly gonna put my Evo engine in my CIVIC!!! ROFL!!! Just in spite of the fact that some of you guys are real jerks and I'll be looking foward to run my civic against someones $30000 when im done with it. lol (On the track that is)

I keep you guys posted, Thanks a bunch
