I also noticed that my car does the same thing when it is cold outside. I think its normal.

My car has been doing that for the entire time I've owned it. I bought it a year old w/ 13K, it is now almost 5yrs old with 53K. I'm still on the orig. clutch. I wouldn't sweat it too much you'll be OK.

I don't think that is going to do anything to cure the problem...

The less foregiving your driveline, the more chatter you should get. More solid engine mounts or a top mount dampener will only intensify what you're feeling.

I have a top mount and a single solid engine mount and I chatter on cold days. After my engine warms up, I slip my clutch a little to warm up the driveline and she calms down.

Mine does it when I don't give it enough throttle on takeoff. If I push the clutch back in and then start over with enough throttle, or if the car is moving, shift into 2nd gear and it moves fine. It's not necessarily when the car or the drivetrain is cold, it just happens at random times it seems. 29k miles on the original clutch.

I've decided that it's happening if I don't give it enough throttle to overcome the intertia of all those differentials, but I am not a mechanic so I am not sure...

Its clutch chatter like stated earlier in the thread. It is a sign of a clutch going out the door most likely. I replaced my stock clutch @ 9k and before I replaced it, it was doing what you said pretty bad. Keep an eye on the slipping in higher gears and higher loads to see if it really is grabbing hard, mine never slipped but chattered bad before it was totally toasted

I agree that it is just clutch chatter. It only happens to me when the car is cold too. Once it warms up, i do not have any problems. The clutch does not slip at all in the higher gears yet. I have 23K on the original stock clutch.

HA Anyone that had their stock clutch go out at 9k miles, obviously cannot drive stick, and should not be commenting in clutch chatter thread. Maybe a clutch toasting thread?

My car also have a shaking engine... Got a new clutch with only 50km on it and just changed the front motor mount for a blox urethane one ... Don`t know where to go with that and what to look for ... no Wheel hop , but the whole engine shakes when releasing the clutch in 1st gear... does it 90% of the time

Thanks guys, i know thats an old post but just trying on here lol

Clutch is starting to slip or you're getting lazy with your left foot would be my guess.
