what kind of clutch is in the car? My car does the exact same thing, but i know i have a 6 puck that the previous owner abused. I been meaning to replace it.... I much rather a full face clutch "my" daily driving.

warped flywheel, glazed / improperly broken-in clutch

no way to diagnose without pulling out the clutch

Well, the clutch is chattering. Instead of a smooth engagement it grabs and releases.

None you are going to like. You can replace the clutch or learn to live with it. Pick the wrong new clutch or cut corners during installation and maybe have this problem again. More aggressive clutches tend to chatter. It is the same problem with brakes - more aggressive brakes tend to be noisy.

I say improper break in/improper installation. Your definition of chatter can mean anything

how long have you owned the car? If you recently bought it, did it do it during the test drive?
