What the hell are you talking about? 100lbs will knock about .1 off your 1/4-mile time, and the RS weight difference isn't even 100lbs.

My IX RS with the only mods done to it at the time was: Cat-back/OEM radio and rear speakers/RobiSpec catalog of suspension parts/Mini-battery and a half tank of gas = 3027lbs on a corner-balance scale. Robi said himself, he was VERY surprised as to how light the car was.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
According to Mitsu:

05 RS: 3219
05 GSR: 3263 (3338 SSL) / 06 GSR: 3274
05 MR: 3285

06 MR and RS are not listed as any different.

^^ yup

-no abs
-no rear wing
-no trunk lining
-no sound deadening material
-roll up windows
-manual side mirrors
-rear trunk bar added (only came on RS')
-aluminum roof
-no stereo, speakers, or wiring for the speakers
-ralliart 3 guage pod added (same as in the MR)
-no center armrest
-no front domelights and storage pod
-no rear windshield wiper
-no hid's or fodlights

there are other little differneces like the ac/stereo surround is not painted silver, instead is the same texture as the whole dash. also on the IX RS, the peice that is fake carbon going across the whole dash is the same as the VIII, just black plastic.

but mine is the perfect RS for me ive added the wing, stereo, front power windows, arm rest, carbon dash piece and the painted stereo surround.... i daily drive it, so i need some ammenities!

JDM IX RS is about 100kg (220lbs) lighter than the GSR (which is basically the MR trim in the US minus the BBS wheels) but as mentioned above, they have steelies and missing brembo, as well as crap base Lancer seats.

A few press cars had no AC with the 04 RS but no production cars. I own an 04 RS and a IX RS.

i think he was referring to when you said "Im not even gonna explain how much that can knock off your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times..."... 100-150lbs. is worth 1/10 to 1.5/10th of a second in the quarter mile.. figuratively speaking.... which is still good, but you made it seem like 100 lbs would make the car rediculously faster... in all reality, youll never even feel the difference on your butt-dyno..

but you were correct that it does make it faster
