Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but my driver side seat is loose on the right side (the part that hugs your sides) and if I wiggle them back and forth I see the rear plastic piece moving with it. Anyone else have this issue, and is it possible to just place another reclining knob on that side?

Mine does the exact same thing.... it was like the since the day I bought it. It still works fine but it tends to flex out and rub against the center console arm rest..... not too worried about it though.

My IX seats keep coming uncliped on the bottom outside toward the door, its just the plastic that pulls over, I can't seem to keep it connected.

Well if yours has been doin' it for all these years and it's been fine hopefully mine will hold up too. Does anyone know if you can put a reclining knob on both sides of the seat (will it fit is what I mean)?

55k here and they are mint! In fact, I haven't seen any worn seats in my town.

is it possible Recaro makes these in quantity just for Mitsu and the 1st year they wanted them on a budget or something so it was subpar quality ? I dunno, it just reminds me of the crappy non lasting finish on the Brembo brakes.
