There, I just left his last Initial. Guess I didn't think about that.

Anyhow, in regards to emissions. This car does have a SAFC mounted right below the stereo. I'm pretty sure I'll have to conceal this for the emissions test. Any ideas if I'd need to reload the base/oem map to pass the emissions?

Thanks,

Does the intake have a "CARB" sticker on it? If not you'll most likely need to put in the stock airbox or find an intake that does have that sticker. The SAFC will have to go. As far as the ECU, I've heard of 264/264 cammed Evo's passing smog so you should be fine with the amount of mods you're running. Are you certain it's been flashed though? Those mods are pretty conservative so I'd almost be surprised if the previous owner's had it tuned.

The intake is made by HKS, I'd almost bet my life on it that it's CARB legal. But thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it fo sho. As far as the SAFC, I've never used one in the past. I really don't want to take it out of the car, and was thinking about concealing it somehow. As far as the Flash, I'm leaning towards it not being flashed considering the SAFC, but I'm not exactly sure.

Regardless the guy who currently owns the car received it from a dealer about two months ago with the emission test already completed, and he's not done a thing to the car since. I think I'm in the clear for the most part.
