Wastegate Dump VS External Wastegate
I have been following the thread that discusses the development of an external wastegate dump. I was thinking about either purchasing that mod, or fixing my wastgate shut (via welding/ bracket) and running a wastegate on the stock manifold. has anyone on here tried that set up sucess??failure?? should i just but the external dump and be happy?

the internall is just fine on the stock turbo & will perform more then enough for you up to about 400 hp
i would only get external if you get a bigger turbo set up such as 50 trims & upwards of that

People are always talking about those dumps but unless you are running a monster turbo you do not need one. If you want the long term truth about dumps you should visit www.dsmtuners.com and read what people have to say.
Cliff notes: Dumps are loud and annoying while providing very little if any gain.

Are you asking about the benefits of an internally gated turbo over an externally gated one? A wastegate dump is for external type turbo system. If you're running the stocker, dont bother with an external wastegate.
