spark plug cover cracked???

so i pop the hood today to notice my spark plug cover was crackerd toward the end . Anyone have this issue before i have a evo IX withe basic bolt on's and a tune. Could it have been the heat from the engine itself with a mixture of water = crack. Not sure but anyone heard of this before or know why it happened?

Mine cracked couple of days ago. My car is completely stock and never done a spark plug change yet. Just ordered a new one from a JNZ

which end did it crack on, and how big is the crack? that's kind of odd.

maybe someone leaned on it too hard when they were changing your oil or something?

or, i am guessing by your username you are from new york city. (i'm brilliant, i know)

is it possible that it got really cold, then maybe the rapid temperature change from heating up and cooling down caused it to become brittle and break?

mine was cracked also, I didn't notice it till the first oil change that I did on it....must have been overtightened when it was put together I'm assuming or at the dealer considering I never touched it

Mine is cracked too on the bottom right. It happened last winter. It has to be the rapid temp changes since I certainly did not do it and no one touches my car but me.
