Battery Relocation Help please...
Got a few questions for you and searching hasnt yielded the right info....
i am in the process of relocating my battery to my trunk. I have the battery and tray mounted to the trunk, i have ran the wire to the back...
my question is... the stock battery connections up front, do you have to keep the fuses connected and use the bolt thru method ? or can i cut the lines going to the terminal connectors and run them to my distro block like i had originally planned ? Im not really seeing the need for the fuses as i will have an inline fuse from the battery to the connections anyway. I realize it is there for safety, but im curious if that is the only reason and if anyone else has ran this type of setup without using the stock terminal.

Find out what the fuses are for. I left them. I put my battery in the trunk after my small battery took a dump. I just used another battery terminal too hook up to the termnal in the front and then ran the wire to the trunk

the fuses id assume are for what fuses are normally for... if there is an over current condition or a short, they blow instead of causing more major problems. They will still be fused with my setup, the fuse will just be located in the trunk instead. i think i am just going to cut them and find out the hard way... worst case, i blow the car up lol... but more than likely it will work out just fine, and if i cut it, i can just resolder it if i have to.
