Question awd system going out?

i have an 03 evo 8 i have 280/280 comp cams, tbe, meganracing manifold,255lph fp, upper and lower ic piping, fmic, turbosmart bov, turbosmart bc, and tuned.
when i get on it in second gear and reach about 5k rpm the front tires start to spin it only does it once in awhile. sometimes all four grab. anyone have an idea of what this could be? any help would be greatly appreciated.
btw new to the car so dont know much about the awd system yet.

The AWD system doesn't just "go out", it could be a transmission, transfer case or diff problem but unless you've been launching it all the time, I doubt it.

i only launched the car three times at the track last year and the tranny and xfer case were just rebuilt and they said the diffs looked fine and didnt need to be replaced.
