Is there a big market for EVO9 now??

Im curious if I am able to sell my car if I need to. Im actually toying with the idea of selling my 06 WW IX with 10xxx miles on it. I owned the car since 5/06. Im tempted to jump into this great lease deal I got but I need to unload this car first.

I know I know... I have to ask this questions of how much do you guys think my car is worth. The car is located in queens, NY.

it's an 06 GSR with the following mods
swift springs w/stock shocks.
AMS FMIC and LICP <2k miles
Cossworth MIVEC Cams <2k miles
ARP headstuds <2k
HKS RS intake
HKS dp
UR HFC
Greddy SP2 Catback
6000k HID kit
Compustar 900fm alarm
Hotchkis Rear sway bar
Tints
Custom tune.

Thanks for everyone time.

Why would it kill the resale value? I'm sure the depreciation will be similar to that of any car model with a new generation coming out. Being that the Evolution has a specific niche in the automotive market, each car has their own advantages. Those looking for the legendary 4G63 power in the latest model will find the IX's their perfect option. Who knows what the 4B11 will hold in store.

I defenitely understand the niche market for our cars. I wont be surprise if we get a good selling price for our cars... but that comes with timing. Right buyer at a right time.

What I dont understand is that why someone would buy a stock evo and mod it anyway if they can buy a modded cars. I guess to each his own.

I'd say you could get 28-29k if you hold out for the right buyer

Because the car is no longer a "virgin" when you mod it. No one will be convinced the car was not beat on or raced at least once when it is modded. Personally, I would never buy a modded car.

Your car stock (assuming it's in good condition and hasn't been beaten to death) is probably worth around $27K (that's based on KBB, NADA and some guys who recently sold their stock IXs here on EvoM). Add in your mods and it gets a little tricky to find a true value. You have to find a buyer who wants the mods you have in your car. But what others are saying, you should be somewhere around $29K total. Just have to find the right buyer.

And for the guys who are saying the X will kill resale values, they're crazy. The IX and X are two different cars for two different types of people. The IX offers a different experience that you can't find in the X, and for people who want that experience, they'll have to pay what the car is worth for that experience because a car like the IX will NEVER be made again.

You should be able to get 27-28k for your car because I see it as a big demand for the IX because no one really wants the X. I think it is ugly and it is much heavier yes it has a few extra ponies but it is still slower then the 9 or the 8 but it does outhandle them.

I have owned now 49 personal vehicles and I haven't ever seen a newer (change in design) model year vehicle not hurt the resale of the previous year. Now that being said the new X is not as desirable as some of the new competion to come Nissan and such. But people will always want the latest and greatest and this time around it's not the X. That is my two cent. I will keep my IX that for sure.

the ix's will hold their value even with the x's on the market now. reason being is not to many people are going want to play 40k for a mits. u can get a really nice bens c55 for close to that price. i think mits needs to lower the price on the x. i got 26k for a trade in on my ix se. so u should be able to get 27-27k.

trade in/wholesale value is $23k to $24k. The private sale value is $2k to $3k on top of that.
