Tint laws in themselves are ridiculous. As long as you can still make out the driver, I don't see the issue. Mine are right around 30-35 and I've had a cop ask me about it before so I couldn't imagine what you 20% guys go through

you know im still amazed in the variance of tint laws from state to state. i understand there is weather differences and all but damn you would think the laws would be somewhat similar!

I'm like the only one out of a bunch of friends with tint that hasn't been haggled with. I don't have tint on the Evo as of now but I was thinking about it. Maybe I shouldn't press my luck too much.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again...Sorry to hear that man.

Holy #%^@ 50% and 40%?! I live in Florida and the limit here is 28% front and 18% back from what I believe the guy told me 3 years ago when I did mine, I just went with a 20% all around just so I have the same shades.... Why the hell do they even bother putting up a law for 50%? Might as well just say tinting is illegal altogether.

Man I can't believe you fell for it, that sticker means absolutely nothing. In fact I just got a call last night from them (I kid you not), the guy started up with the same usually BS, "Do you think it's important to support the state troopers?" I don't know where they got my info but the guy couldn't even name the county I live in correctly, I hang the phone up in his face.

to the OP, atleast you guys can have tints on the front , someone said 50% up front, but that sounds light as hell ..why bother.
I'm running 15% in the rear and 50% up front in NJ. I actually don't get harassed much because the difference between the two tints is so noticeable that if you're not paying attention it doesn't really look like the fronts are tinted.

I've gotten pulled over once (in florham park or chatham can't remember) for the tints in the two years i've had them on. I drive around primarily in North Jersey, and the Middlesex area.

+1 on rolling down the windows when the 5-0's around... except it looks fishy when u do it lol.

I'm going to a place in Maryland, it's called National Glass, (301) 946-8584. Oh, and I'm not planning to get the rear tints removed, just the front sides.

Yeah, hahaha, he brings this big clunky orage box thing from his car and there's like a slit there. He places the slit over the windows and measured it, it was like 32%. I guess the stock windows are like 3% or something.
