you sure, won't that result in any kind of exhaust leak?

When I was on the stock turbo I never used extra nuts on the O2 housing and never had exhaust leak issues.

Okay, is there any way you could post a soundclip of the "sound"? As far as the exhaust leak check, simply start your car, have someone stand near the tail pipe with a towell, and plug the exhaust for just one second (no more!) meanwhile you get near it and check to see if you hear any hissing. Exhaust leaks are easy to troubleshoot this way. About the innovate LC-1, I just installed mine and had several problems. First the terminator plug wasnt given to me by innovate, they sent one. Then the Sensor was bad, but this gave me an E-2 error, I used a multimeter to read through the 2 middle pins on each row and it was 9 ohms, which was bad. I got that sent next day, and not the xd-16 will not connect to the laptop, because it will not power up unless hooked to the lC-1, so I have to send the xd-16 back. If I get one more problem with this thing, I am getting a refund and getting the AEM.

Also, sounds like you should get a new mechanic asap.

Oh, when I installed my FMIC and piping (with no leaks verified) the turbo spool sounded whispy-ier? More whistle-like.

Also sounds are different with different downpipes/o2housings ect, so unless your setup is the same, you cant really go by that.

Jameson_IXMR you just descriped the sound, it sound like a turbo spool with a whistle-like sound, I did a boost leak and eveything seem to be okay no leak what so ever, so either am freaking out or there is an exhaust leak, I'll get everything checked tomorrow.

I have a full TBE with test pipes and an intake.
as for the innovate I might get the AEM, I did everything I can with this damn thing, and it dosen't seem to work, I hate it so much.

as for my mechanic I already got a new one and am not going back to him ever again.

+1 you don't use a nut with that setup, I have the same setup on my car. The gasket in question would be between the O2 and the turbo itself... however even with a leak, I would think the WG should still control boost enough for you to not spike that high..

the boost spike was there because my STUIPED *** mechanic did not connect the boost controller hose that go to the turbo nipple, because I got the BR deluxe FMIC with the LICP that come with out a nipple so he left it as it is with out connecting it.

When we found out about the hose, he wanted to weld the hose on the UICP, I started my car and left the damn place with out saying a word.
I went back home and connected the hose to the BOV and WAALAAA, it works, no welding nothing, a simple T fitting and that’s it

it depands on you, you either can cover it or connect it to the MBC, its your choice.

You dont need nuts on the to of your DP/02 Housing flange.. the flange is threaded and the the stock bolts are spring loaded.. that's good enough.. and if you use different bolts.. still no need for nuts.. only if you are one of those super secure guys.. lol

As for the Boost controller.. I know what you mean about the J pipe of the turbo not having a Nipple.. but hey, why not weld a nipple onto the new J pipe.. that's what I did..

Yes, T'ing off your BOV vacuum line works, but not the greatest option for me as its sharing vacuum pressure which tends to lead in a lil bit of inaccuracy on the way your boost gauge and your Boost controller work.. not a lot but is existent trust me..!! Actually the mechanic was in the right direction but its just not that practical in the UICP.. takes to much time to make your shiznit work..!

As for the turbo check to see if there is any shaft play.. after a work out like that..! lol prob. nice to check it..!

Hey guys after goin though almost everything, I finally decided to check the turbo and here's what I found.

The wired thing is, the car still pulls hard and you can feel the power coming when the turbo spools, my question is:-
Is that normal or this is the beginning of the end (turbo burn)?

I found a place that can fix the turbo, and change the damaged part with new a one, well that work?

Please help me out guys, thanks.

First thing I would want to do before I looked for a place to repair it was to find out WHY and WHAT caused that to happen. That is some serious turbo damage.

Is your MAF honeycomb still intact?

Cheers-
