Evo IX rs, pricing questions
i found an 06 IX rs with 42k on it and an asking price of 22k. no wing, radio, or power anyhting. basic rs. im going to talk with them saturday and i dont want to leave without this car. but i dont want to pay 22k for an 06 model with 42k miles on it. obivously im going to talk them down. but, my point being, im going to bring up the miles as an issue, since its a used evo. i think average american mileage a year is around 12k. and this car is 2-3 years old with almost twice yearly mileage. this on top of the X releasing, my super hardcore jewness/ballbreaking, and the above noted mileage and age issue should net some discounts. or am i just dreaming too big? anyone work at a dealership with tips on this, or should i stay away from this evo?

if the price for the RS is 22k and you've already grinded them then that the bottom line. but on second hand look at the resale value of the car with 42k miles. to be honest with you i think that will be the best deal youll get especially with a IX rs. you also have to consider the price range and the type of car your buying. good luck
Thats is an awesome deal pending overall condition. I just bought one with close to 40k miles and it runs perfect and pulls like an evo with 2k miles. This car has been run very hard and puts down very impressive numbers. Point is, unless the tune was way off, it doesn't really matter how hard he was on it. It will probably be very strong. Just make sure the TC and trans aren't destroyed. That wouldn't even deter me from buying it, just have to factor that into the sale price. Buy with confidence and just take someone who knows evo's to take a thorough look. I would've paid 30k for one.
