It may be best for you to remove the manifold to the turbo that way you have some flexability to move things around.

I use to run into this same issue when working on the Evo's. The trick, I found out, is to loose both the top 2 bolts and the bottom bolt. Dont take the top completely out, just enough to be able to move the return pipe. Then after doing so, you can manipulate the pipe to where it needs to be, put both bottom bolts in, not tightening completely either. After getting both sets of bolts in, tighten the top bolts first until snug, then the bottoms until snug, then go back and torque them down correctly. BE SURE that on the bottom bolts you have the small o-ring/washers on, or you WILL get an oil leak.

So I tryed doing it the above way, and had no luck. The space is just to big to force it in. I have some pictures of the holes can anyone tell me if they look off to yall.

any advice would be awesome.

im guessing you are trying to use IX lines on an VIII or vice versa. Whatever block you have, you have to make sure you order lines specific to that model. They are not interchangeable... at least, not without a whole lot of force you dont need.

I was in your situation before in where I bought new oil return line for my 2005 and it didnt fit at all. I ended up using the old one. Funny thing, about a month later I was working on a 2003 and the oil return that didnt fit my year ended up fitting perfectly on his. The oil return part number that fit the 2003 was MR464925.

hmm well the thing is the frist one we order was brand new. couldnt even heat up the metel hot enough to twist it to place. so we order one from someone on here. and it was off his car. which was a 03 8. so it should of fit. but it didnt X_X. so we are stuck here a week in to this hour long project... my friend is think about buying a flex line off some website. I think its like extremepsi or something. not to sure of the name.

You could also try http://jnztuning.net/shop/catalog/in...Path=22_56_264. That was my next plan if I ever need to take the turbo off again.

Small o-ring washers? Are they small rubber o-rings, or metal washers with a rubbery center?

Negatron, Ive had 3 oilpans and 3 lines from different models all 3 the same. I was actually using a 8 oiline on my IX block cause the one sent to me had a crack.

BTW the line i sent him was off of an 8 turbo.
