Crashed My IX tonight (i hate snow)
The problem yesterday was not only was there a top layer of snow but there was a layer of ice under the snow that people couldn't see. I saw countless cars get into bad accidents. One car even hopped the divider and its rear wheels where in the air and everybody had to drive around him. Even with snow tires and plenty of tread I had to brake very gently or abs would kick in hopelessly. However having snow tires, I was able to maneuver around things pretty well with no loss of traction.
If I was that dude... you think I would be posting here? No, I'd be posting from the county hospital for igniting my car on fire and being a walking flame man while suffering 3rd degree burns and trying to hug people at the same time. Hence, DIAF...
Excuse me, I'm delusional... Insomnia has owned my *** 2 nights in a row...

Everyone was driving really slow so I dont know if they were rubbernecking or not. Everyone was more concerned about getting home than stopping. Your basically on your own in NYC. Unless it happened right in front of you, people will go along on their merry way. From what I can see looking out of my window, there was no one in the car.
it was nasty yesterday. I drove to ct and back and saw a jack knife trucked and a few other ****ty situations for other cars. even with dedicated snow tires I had a few scarry moments myself in the evo.

I actually was delivering from 5-8 in the evo and with the new blizzaks i put on this year it wasn't that bad...but everyone else was turning 2 lanes into 1 lane.

blizzaks fasho !!..sorry about your accident ...everyone here knows about stock yoko's and how bad they are in wet weather..
hope theres at least some meat on those tires...from experience at my job whenever an adjuster comes and check a vehicle out for a accident claim..tires are the first things the check. not saying u may have a problem..but just a heads up

well atlst the damage is not a heavy damage. well i personally dont drive out during snow since i still have the advans. go get atleast a good all season tires if u can't afford another set of wheels and snow tires.
Forgive me if this question is dumb because I'm a newbie and I don't have an evo yet. But I'm switching from front wheel drive to all wheel because I thought it would be better in bad weather. Is it really all about the tires? or have I been bamboozled into thinking the evo runs better in bad weather then front wheel drive cars?(again glad your safe be careful out there. I'm not trying to be insensitive)
