Crashed My IX tonight (i hate snow)
had the same happen to me on icy raods, the repair 12k waiting for the checks. ill keep the money and pay it off. may be swap the engine into a mirage or something. sorry to hear that, i know how it feels.
Giving it gas doesn't mean slam your foot to the floor, it means give it enough gas to do it's job. If you completely off, the car will simply follow the road/the momentum it currently has.

took the car for a ride today guys, feels mint which is a good thing, went to the body shop, probably gonna be doing a SE lip and AMS front mount, bad things happen for good reasons i guess, insurance is lookin at it on monday or tuesday at ultimate-cc. from the looks of it it might be ok. I pray that the radiator support didnt bend but theres no knowing until the take it apart...either way im going through insurance and it should be fixed soon....just wanted to let u guys know that it still runs and drives fine so thats good news....more info to come soon.
I'm sorry for your accident but really.. how many YOU NEED Snow Tires threads do you see to remind you of how important this is. 75 Feet. Wow.. that's more than plenty stopping distance for good snow tires.
Rich that sucks dude, don't worry about it too much bro it's just a car. My friend did the same to mine in the rain except into a curb with a little more damage (fender) so trust me I know how you feel.
