Resetting the ECU will return your adjusted timing back to stock setup. It's a good idea in case any of it was pulled, thus a loss in power. It is like a vehicle's safety defense mechanism.

Yeah but what if you are tuned
the ecu remembers the codes that it has pulled until it is removed via a code scanner or if you reset the ecu. when reseting the ecu you also remove the short & long term fuel trims that the ecu has learned.
Ahh, good to see you put the stocker back on!!! A lot of people make the mistake of putting on a VTA with no tune and wonder where the power went... Do you still hear any strange noises or did that problem resove itself with the BOV?
