HAHA i just got pulled over :)
License plates are generally made with a reflective material which makes it a nice target to aim for when trying to clock a cars speed. No plate means you have to be closer for them to get a reading which also means more warning time for you!
You don't need a front plate to get lasered or tagged with radar. You only need a surface level big enough to reflect the wavelengths and the whole front of the car is plenty big. It just so happens that most cops use the front license plate as a focal point.
If you do end up forced into the front plate, you should get one of those "texas truck" ones just to be funny, do they still have those?
They just ticket for front plates here downtown Salt Lake if they're in a really pissy mood, which rarely rarely happens.
Corvettes and Porsches FTW!!!
I love those videos of the frustrated cops with the lasers who can't tag them.
