i just got pulled over for no front plate the lady was lasering and couldn't hit me with it i was going like 60 in a 45 but i saw her from so far away i slowed down in time she didn't even give me a ticket it was a lady cop man we need more of thoughs

Many people simply refuse to put a front plate on their car. The fine isn't outrageous or anything. I didn't realize TX required them...hmm. Learned something new.

 

His point was, with him not having a front plate, she couldnt radar him so since he was speeding, he did himself a favor & didnt get the ticket; not to mention it was a lady cop who went easy on him. It is a great story if you can understand it.

 

no plate = small fine.
plate = being able to be radared and possible BIG fine.

I'm taking mine off. :P

BTW: does anyone know how to mount the garnish? Is taking off the bumper required to do so?

 

yeah. the law in texas is 2 plates front and back. front plate must be displayed on the front of the vehicle. where the front of the vehicle is, is kind of unclear (lol) front bumper? behind the windshield showing from the front?(thats where i put mine) on the front grill? its kind of left to interpretation. must law enforcement will tell you the front is the bumper or grill. more than anything it can be used for probable cause to stop you. so take it for what its worth. " so remember kids drive safe and always wear your seatbelt, your important to us"

 

Well, they would still get you with a regular radar which is far more widely used than a laser one. Laser requires clear weather and precise aim. Also even if you don't have a plate, they can aim at your headlight.

I also don't have my front plate on, but I do hate female cops since most of them have ***** envy and are on a power trip to prove to society how powerful they are.

Yea I just got lasered this morning for a 63 in 45 and I used to not rock my plate, but I was wearing it this morning and well the rest is history...
