Am I crazy for buying a IX RS with 1450 miles now?
27k is way too much for an RS. You are better off buying an SE with 10k miles for 2k less. The RS doesn't have HIDs, an arm rest, or power windows and locks. Plan on putting an alarm in the car with keyless entry... have fun.
Don't forget about when it comes time to sell it. There are very few RS seekers. Much easier to sell a car with BBS, HID, and PWR options.

Well first off forget the X for now as they are overpriced/cost more to begin with and are not any faster or better handling in the real world. They are more comfy and will make a better daily driver than a IX but that all depends on what one considers their daily driver to be.
Think long and hard about the RS, it's not as easy as you might think to add power options/sound deading or even ABS brakes. ABS IMO is more important in real world driving than on a track. Esp if you are not a pro driver or simply have your mind someplace else or better yet on a call phone fighting with the wife or girlfriend. If your driving along in the rain or snow and need to stop fast, most tend to panic abit and just hit the brakes. If you have no ABS and were thinking about how hot that chick was at the mall that day, your going into a spin or uncontrolled slide. With ABS you have a better chance of keeping the car under control during a panic situation. I have been there done that, lol.
I drove a RS one time and before going 30 miles....
I missed the keyless entry (call me spoiled but walking up to a 27k car and needing to use the key to unlock the doors is crazy).
Arm rest (first thing I noticed, no arm rest seemed to make shifting more of a pain and during highway driving I kept looking for a place to rest my arm)
The car was noisy, much more coming from the engine bay and road.
I went to go for the interior light and nothing was there, all I found was one in the middle and wasn't much good nor practical for viewing something in the front of the car wile driving.
I noticed the side mirrors were not where I liked them and realized I could not adjust them and if I could from inside the car wile driving I never found out how, lol.
Someone pulled up on the pass side wile I was stopped to ask a question. I reached for the power window button and realized I had to lean over and crank it down, sigh.
Am I nitpicking or whining like a *****, maybe, but I can tell you I realized in a 30 mile drive how many things I took for granted
So think about what you want out of the car before you buy it. The miles are low, infact I would say the car is basicly new and thats a big plus when your looking at used Evos.
I end with this... Your at the mall with a few friends (girlfriend/boyfriend/buddys/wife and kids/just kids ect) and it's time to leave. Everyone is on the way to your car (you prob parked abit away in fear of dents and scratches) when a nice cold rain begins to fall. Everyone picks up the pace to get in the car and you realize you have to...
A. Take a momment to unlock the car with the key.
B. Get in and procede to unlock all the doors by hand and getting the back ones is a pain.
C. meanwile, everbody else is standing there getting soaked
D. Had you opt for a Evo with power options you could have had all the doors unlocked before you even got to the car
Not that this may ever happen to anyone, I'm using it as an example. For me, it's something that would start to get old real fast of not having the features that make day to day driving (or life in general)easyer. Esp after that new car feeling starts to fade away

The last X I saw advertised had a $7,500 markup over MSRP, and I have never even paid MSRP for a car. The wapce paid like $500 over MSRP for her Mini a year or two back, and I am still making fun of her for it
Besides, RS is UBER
If it is for DD, maybe you should look for an SE or something. If it is a weekend toy, then get the RS

wow.. that was an in depth whine session
lol.... everything was somewhat true though.....
i added everything that has bugged me on my RS except keyless entry... im planning to, just havnt done it yet... but mine now has the armrest, power windows, (power mirrors are gonna be installed soon, have em', just nedd the install), etc...... and it pretty much is easy.. anyone with basic tools can do it in a day
as for abs, rear wiper, sound deadening, etc... i dont need it.... ive only had one car with abs, so im more used to non-abs cars anyways.... i just know the braking limit before skidding (you learn quick autocrossing)
