what do you think?

hey guys i bought an evo a few months ago and my current mods are tbe,injen intake w/piping and greddy rs bov.


i just purchased a few parts also that will be here next week, ams fmic, gsc s1 cams, aem truboost, aem wideband, arp head studs and will have a reflash as well.


what do you think i will run in the 1/8th mile?( i really want to be in the 7's but dont know if that is possible.)

and what kind of hp should i expect.

ummm..... what kind of boost do u plan on running....i guess head studs in you plan on modding in the future...and as well for the cams... cams on stock turbo...as many people will say arent worth much for what they will do unless u have an upgraded turbo...

im assuming you have a ix?

semi aggressive tune...maybe 330-350whp..

yes i have an ix and i will probably run 21-22 lbs on 92 octane.

The S1s don't produce quite the gains Cosworth or JUNs make, but generally 340-350 WHP on a Dynojet.

What kind of TBE do you have? Test pipe? I don't think you need the headstuds. FMIC won't really add much power (Maybe the LICP will help spool), but it will make your dyno and track runs consistent. May I suggest removing your BOV. It is VTA, yes? AEM makes some great stuff but I don't know if you'll fully benefit from it at this level of power. A MBC is usually suitable for <450 WHP.

i currently have a dc sports downpipe w no cat , magnaflow catback,

and i already purchased the aem tru boost, cams, headstuds,fmic that stuff is for sure going on my car i was just wondering what to expect.

and yes my bov is vta.

u will run horrible with your vta.... u need to recirculate it...asap if u have the stock bov..put it back in...

stock bov didn't hold more than 18 psi for me on my 8 so i got rid of that ****

every evo works diff. i run vta and no problems. and the stock 8 bov is garbage. thats why people buy the 9 mr valve.

you run vta with no problems....someone back me up here. mod or someone....yea the STOCK 8 bov dv whichever you may call it... IS PLASTIC yes. its garbage. the stock 9 valve can hold up till about 26 psi..read in depth on this when i first purchased my car.

nothing...you shouldnt vent if your not tuned for it...you car thinks its getting the air... from the stock recirc...but in reality its not.
