So who else doesn't drive their EVOs?
You got me beat. I have a 2003 with 15000 miles
Same thing happened to me with my 2g. I built it, loved it, didn't want to put it through winter....
Got a 1g TSi AWD "beater" and drove my 2g maybe every 2 or 3 weeks the whole summer after that. Once I picked up my evo and put the 2g up for sale I decided that its stupid to buy a daily driver that isn't as fun as your fun car.
By now the only reason to have a weekend car is if it is a full out track car that you are building from the ground up. It's not cheaper to operate a car that gets better gas milage/etc, because after registration, title, plates, insurance, parking, etc etc etc. you wind up spending more than you would to just enjoy the fast, fun car every day.
In the same respect its horrible to think of the daily pains that my evo has to go through... especially with chicago winters; but that comes with the job title
.
Still trying to sell the 2g though... I can't believe that after what I put into it nobody will buy it for 1/3-1/4 of that amount of money. Anybody who is interested just can't come up with the funds.
60 mile round trip to work puts 22k miles on a car really quick though :/

bought mine in April of 2007, its a 2006 Evo IX se, i have 4000 miles on it. I love taking the car out once or twice a month just to refresh my memory of how powerful the car is after driving my wife Mazda 3...
I drive that thing EVERYWHERE. even when I'm just bored at home...jump in the ride and cruise. couldn't ever imagine loving another car like I love this damn thing. (Porsche...pronounced Poor-sha) is her name
My girlfriend is terribly jealous.
