I hardly think that buying visual and aural (art) media is a waste of money.

I was able to purchase my car in the first place by having a job working overseas. I wasn't taxed on income, only social security. So out of 7000$ a month, I got to keep like 6500$ of it. Plus seeing as I had no home, I had no rent. While I was working on the boat, my room and food were paid for. I had zero out of pocket expenses other then having fun on port calls. That paid off my Celica REAL quick. I was able to take my paid for celica + 4$ (one paycheck) and order my evo. As luck would have it, job ended after I got the car lol. Thankfully I had enough dough left over (paid off 30k in debt, my old car and other bills) to cover payments and insurance for a while. Car was basically modded (CBE, intake) for several months. Got a huge bonus at work the same month I had a killer service record, so a few grand went into the car (headers, 02, dp, fuel pump, coil overs, dynoflash) and the car has more or less stayed unmodded since then.
Now that I am kinda "living at home" again (parents own 2 homes, rent 1 to me and my bro), my very low rent and having a better paying job is putting me on the track to new mods.

I could have had ALLLL kinds of stuff done to the car long ago. But like someone mentioned, its a matter of priorty. Up until now, the car wasn't my biggest spending priority. I like to go out. I like top shelf only liqour. I smoke. I like guns. I have a very expensive aquarium hobby. I like new cell phones often. I like nice clothes. So while my car COULD have been in much better shape power wise, I was still happy. Now I shift my focus, give up most of those other priorties (still like my topshelf, and i have 2 custom rifles being built) and before the end of the year I'll be rocking a 3065 with plenty of supporting mods.

Priorities man, nuff said

I am still in school. I am very lucky and thankful that my parents are paying for tuition and rent for me and my brother.
I agree with what people have said before, without my parents help i would never have 2 bikes and an EVO. I still go home over the summers and work for my parents company and even through out the school year both me and my brother work for our parents.

The itch to modd is comming on strong, but i will wait till i have all cash, no credit cards for me
