This is what I'm thinking...

Its pretty difficult to remove a jack from a lowered car with the wheels off and nothing to support it...the jack would more than likely get caught under the car once the rotors hit the pavement...They would need a super slim jack for this to work without blocks....so the blocks make sense and would make less noise as already pointed out.

W/ two ppl you can have a set of wheels off in about 4 min.

1st person starts to loosen the lugs while the jack man follows, jacking up each corner, placing the blocks under the car. While the jack man is on the last wheel, the 1st guy is spinning off the lugs the rest of the way and removing the wheels. Jack man throws the jack in the getaway vehicle and returns to help the first guy carry the wheels back to the getaway vehicle.

When I lived in Ohio, I watched this happen. They were smooth and amazingly quick. I gave the license plate # of the getaway car to the owner of the vandalized car. Last time I talked to the guy, the kids were being prosecuted and his insurance still covered the wheels.

I would check ebay or something, that sucks, I bet what they did lift the center of the car, put bricks from both sides, and went for the rear, since your car sits uphill. that is terrible view, poor evo. :-( Gl getting money back.
