An interesting ticket story
So about three weeks ago i got pulled over for no front license plate. (yet another one to add to the list!) I paid the ticket about a week later and ordered the beat rush plate bracket which i recieved yesterday. The bolt hole do not line up with my plate for some reason but no big deal i thought, i would just modify it. I take the plate bracket into town and am on my way to my girlfriends for the night and plan to pick up the parts on my way home the next day. I stop to eat at Wendy's and see a cop in the parking lot drive by me. I finish eating and procede to leave, and no sooner than pulling out onto the road the same cop pulls me over for no front plate. i explained the story and showed him the previous ticket and plate bracket on my passenger seat. He comes back abuot 10 minutes later and gives me a ticket for no front plate. I shrug it off and go to my girlfriends house. 10 minutes later i get a call on my cell phone from the officer, he says that he feels bad and would like to take the ticket back! I thought,, what the hell, but i wasn't about to question it. I meet him at about where he pulled me over and i walk up to HIS window (i had to ask him "do you know why i pulled you over" just for kicks
) i then give him the ticket and he gives me my license back, end of story.
I don't know laws to well but I want to say that i had 30 days to get my plate on but i am not sure. Do you guys think he was just being nice or do you think he wasn't supposed to issue the ticket considering it hasn't been 30 day?
Just some food for thought!!!(and no ticket)

Yeah he probably realized he made a mistake. I know that if you get a "fix it" ticket, you have a grace period to get it resolved and re-inspected before your court date or at court when you go. The length of the grace period depends on the state or locality that issued the ticket.

i am still wondering why a police offer would drive around for 10-20 minutes before calling me and then drive 15 minutes back to meet me, he said he was on his way to my house which is 30 miles form where he pulled me over, but i was at my girlfriends so we met half way. I would like to think that police officers can be nice and wave a ticket, i just have never met one who didn't give me a ticket!
probably cause he's just on the clock and mileage/ fuel consumption is the least of his worries.
That is really cool that he took it back after either thinking about it or was told to by a superior possibly??? IDK.

I got pulled over just before the snow flew and was told that I was pulled over for not having a front plate......I suggested to the officer that if he looked at the front end, he would indeed find the plate he was looking for.......He came back and apologized for pulling me over......then went on to ask me about the car........how much HP?, Why do I need a 160mph speedo? Who makes the car......wow it was a bit freakish, but I was let go with nothing more than a sorry......I think a clean driving record and some grey hair helped.......now about that wing..........Sick Speed
