Well actually in Japan the laws are a little different. Its my fault 90% to 10% b/c the road she was on was wider so that makes it the primary road and I should have stopped. Even though I was already going through and she wasn't even slowing down. Its a long story and I don't think I could explain it to make sense but short and sweet I'm ****ed frame is shifted 3inches.

If it was an EVO VIII, the damage probably wouldn't have been so bad.. Being that we have that bumper support in there... Bummer dude... Sorry bout the bad luck...

If it was a j-spec Evo VIII it probably would be exactly the same.

Sorry to see that. Even sorrier to hear it's mostly "your fault".

no stop lights or signs. Just mirrors at each corner. I couldn't see to the right and the traffic mirror was covered by a tree I inched out and she smacked me, pulling my car almost sideways. Think she was going a little fast for a blind intersection? No **** but b/c she was on what they consider the primary road ie., hers was 1 foot wider, and add the fact that I am an american devil who drove on the same road as the pregnant ***** I'm considered 90% at fault to her 10% for just being there. The insurance companies are battling it out now big time. We'll see what happens. In the mean time its going on a frame rack in a week to get straightened and then I'll get all new parts to put it back together. Estimate around $8,000 for everything.

yeah, i've heard horror stories about americans in japan. mostly coming from the older crowd. but i have the slightest understanding of traffic laws in japan. i guess the only good thing i can say is at least she took some of the blame. whereas if it happened here, they could have just drove off and left you SOL on the side of the road. are you trying to convince them of the fact that the traffic mirror was covered by trees? that might help your case a little.

It's been going on for a long time and I doubt it will change anytime soon.
