yeah i agree with what your saying and that is why they made it illegal in some areas. i dont agree with the law though cuz you should be able to do whatever you want, i mean what the heck that doesnt make any sense. but then again how are they gonna ever know if you were in neutral or not

The reason this used to be a GOOD practice:

Back in the day when cars where air cooled if you left the car in gear the natural flexing of the drivetrain would cause uneven piston wear and cylinder wear. Now that cars are liquid cooled and thermostatically controlled its a non-issue.

Little history lesson for newbs!
