Roads Today...

...are absolutely HORRIBLE!

I don't know about all of you, but I'm from central IL and the roads are probably the worst I've ever seen them.

Going down the highway today at like 40mph and there are cars off the road everywhere you look.

Everyone be safe out there today!!!

Don't tell me you're taking those "roads" at 40 mph with Advans or you'll end up worse than the cars off the road...

Play it smart, only drive if you absolutely HAVE to. Have and want are 2 totally different things...

Sorry, this is the father in me talking...

I have Toyo Proxes 4 all-seasons and felt perfectly safe at 40.

Only reason I was driving is I had to come home from class...don't plan on driving anymore today

If you think the roads are bad there you should drive in the Los Angeles/Long beach area in Socal. We have all kinds of big rigs tearing the roads up on a daily basis.A lot of times there are pot holes about 4-6 inches deep and about 2 feet across all over the place.

Haha, yeah I'm talking about some snow

But our roads around here aren't very good here in that sense either...now imagine trying to go on them with snow covering the pot holes, etc!

^That would totally suck! Its bad enough here when it rains.Like you stated in your first post people drive faster in the rain here and end up crashing or worse flipping their cars.

I don't know if you have ever drove in snow personally, but its 1000x worse than rain; especially when theres frozen rain underneath it. Plus the Evo can really get a hold of you in the stuff...all-season tires are a must have IMO if you live around here.

You guys need to battle out the Minnesota roads. They don't have enough money to fix the residential roads. Pot holes everywhere that are cracking. Over 90 percent of the roads are uneven, bumpy, and are severe. I'm afraid to lower my car anymore since I have a carbon front lip. Even so, I don't even want to drive the car on the roads at all this spring.

Same around here whoang40.

The roads here are the only thing holding me back from lowering my car as well.

I though they were talking about the physical condition of the roads too.

Well I figured most of you knew about the winter storms rolling through the midwest and the whole thing about the cars being off the road would have gave it away but guess not

Yall should come to the Chi. It's Pot Hole Capital of the World! Even Hummers have to slow down to go over them. Are Hummers made for roads like that?
