little green intercooler?
little green intercooler?
about 3 weeks ago i purchased a 04, evo rs. after the dealership i bought it from did not provide me with an owners manual . so i finnaly figured out what the switch/button in the center consol was for when i had my freind stand in front of the car and i pushed it. holy **** thius car comes stock with a intercooler sprayer!
i now know that u can hold down the manual button and spray it ,but when you put it in auto mode the green indicator on the dash lights up .
i guess my question is , when does it spray in auto mode ? is there a iat sensor that tells it to spray at a certain temp? cause i cant exactly launch, shift and hold down the button all the way down a quarter mile track ,not yet at least

i believe it sprays depending on engine load tps and temp. maybe some other parameters. but again i really don't think it does much of any good. and u defiantly can not notice it.

I know first hand that at 140mph accelerating next to an S4, who happended to be accelerating at the same pace, the sprayer does make alot of difference. The pace at which we were accelerating at changed noticably when I turned on the sprayer. I know, not the smartest or safest, but all the same, it does make a difference.
