This information didn't really hit on porting out the stock exhaust mani, hot side and the o2 housing. I had a 97eclipse and this was one of the important ways to gain alittle more power without buying a whole new exhaust mani and o2 housing. I rather stay with stock turbo just because I rather not gain that over spool and not looking for a 450+ dd by adding a gt35 kit or anything in that manner.

porting and coating are both pretty important for the overall flow of the engine. it is assumed, but i guess it was not emphasized.

save yourself the trouble of posting the stock o2 housing...get a cheap-o 3" one from ebay

porting the manifold is definitely beneficial...I picked up about 300 rpm in spool up

no personal experience with a ported hotside

with cams I'd say do the fuel pump as you should be pushing 350whp (dynojet)

injectors should be fine but some tuners want you to have them for some extra breathing room

Nice job, can't wait to send people here instead of re-answering already asked mod questions.

there are 2 kinds of shifter bushings right? one is under the hood and the other is under the shifter itself (install details).

does anyone know what kind is best and who makes them? i know ams and buschur makes the under the hood kind. any recommendations?

It would be extremely difficult to objectively say one bushing or the other is "the best" simply because bushings provide a different feel to the shifter. One person's preference for a bushing can be completely different from another. They all basically do the same job of replacing the softer rubber material which can make the shifter feel semi mushy.

The only advice i can give you is if you use a non standard bushing is to lube the control arms to prevent heat related binding.

for the ones under the shifter, I believe they only have them for 5-speed, none for 6-speed. Can anyone confirm?

hmmmm, I am set to buy a whole IC pipe kit with a new IC as well a fuel pump, intake system, TBE and a tune..... should I not worry about all of that and just get the TBE, drop in filter, LICP and a tune instead?
