I have both, the DIY and PPI. PPI has a machined Delron cap, with machined ports for the Schrader Valve and Pressure guage, and comes with a quality coupler, as well has T-bolt clamps. This is NOT pricey for the amount of work and component put it to this tool. My DIY has leaked, fallen apary and requires a second person, to view my boost guage. You get what you pay for!
For a compression tester, you can pick one up at your local Auto Zone, Pep boys, Kragen...etc.

Man. First get rid of that CRAP fram filter lol but seriously though when you do fix the leak get a quality filter the internals in fram are garbage

Which do you recommend?

And as for that Tester.....DAAAAAANG!! thats serious. 50 bucks though? Does it come with instructions haha

Its the same thing lol Just more expensive. Im not paying more money for the same filter when I change it every 3k anyways. I appreciate your input though

Found more....the entire back side on my motor is soaked with a oily residue...Havent found where it came from yet........

How ever I did noticed when i dropped my subframe the on of my intake manifold mount bolt...is missing lol hmmm how did this happen, I think the who has it before had did more mods to this car than I realize.......Big build and back to stock again? This is ontop of noticing alot of unpainted bolts, like a socket went on it....

These are the intake mani bracket/mount misssing bolt




O and obviously ****ty job on the pan gasket....Thats next on my list

lol glad to see im better at building stuff that you are diy boost leak tester =5 bucks diy ftw if you can di right

Can you PM me the How to on this and I will decide if I should waste my time lol or just buy the PPI....50 though is alittle high IMO...


Also besides on the Filter bit, its just a filter, I wouldnt really see a difference.....


I have fix my leak around the oil pressure sending unit now I am going to fix the Oil leak once AND FOR ALL!!!! urgghhhh
