Fuel pumps

After researching numerous threads it appears that a IX fuel pump may work for my mods. Evo 8-drop in filter-mbc-IX turbo-gsc stage 1 cams-tbe. All the threads I have read say that this pump will handle most bolt ons. I know about the tuning head room of the walbro. But I dont drag the car and the most it would ever see is 22psi on 94oct. I have had numerous other walbros on 240sx and gsx. It seems like fuel mileage dwindles with these pumps as pressures are slightly increased. Can I get away with jsut the IX pump?

The money was never the issue. If a IX fuel pump will do the job it offers less noise and lower pressure and maybe some unsubstantiated gas savings.

id have to say go with a walbro, but if you plan on not modding any more then a 9 pump would be sufficient

If you're looking to buy a IX fuel pump I just upgraded to a Walbro and my old one is just sitting around.

PM me and make an offer.

LOL! Walbro @ higher pressure! Swapping a pump will not magically make your fuel pressure rise, unless your regulator is shot! LOLOLOL

If you look at the test there is a slight rise in pressure even past the fpr....

It is already been mentioned you can retune yourself to compensate for better miles per gallon and still have that peace of mind that you still have a fuel pump that will handle further modifications if you choose to do so.

I'm running a walbro, fuel mileage won't change, pressures are based on pressure regulator! My 9 fuel pump has 4k on it pm with offer!

At your mod level, the IX pump should be good. You could later add a KenneBell Boost-a-Pump by which you could increase voltage to your pump at W.O.T. A fuel pressure gauge and an AFR monitor will help you keep tabs on pump output. Myself, I just installed a Walbro.
