Rear driver's side door lock problem

I noticed yesterday that my rear driver's side door lock won't operate at all when I hit the power lock on the front driver's side door or when I hit the key fob. Anybody have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

...and if that fails, 5 year/60k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty comes into play.

That is very true and trust me that was one of my options, but unfortunately all of my stock parts are in Tennessee and I am currently in a TDY status in Atlanta, GA. Thankfully it is just me driving around in the car so it isn't too much of a problem.

^ Unless you have new doors and stuff, I wouldn't worry too much about not having stock parts. I doubt they'd deny warranty work on a door lock for mods, plus I'm not sure if they'd actually document mods for work like this.

You might be surprised. I've heard some horror stories and just don't want to take the chance. I'm sure you can see my point.

That's a good question. I didn't check that out. I'll have to do that once I get off of work. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah. But I'm sure some research on this site will inform you of some of the reasonable and unreasonable dealerships near you.

I went outside to check to see if the window went down on that side and it does go down. I did a quick look under the dash to see if any wires had come loose and I didn't see any. Does anybody know if that window is powered by a lone fuse or does the fuse power all the windows?

Mine did that for awhile intermittently. My dealer under warranty just removed the wiring connector in the driver side kick panel because a short developed due to moisture corrosion and I couldn't turn the parking lights off. I haven't had a problem with that door lock since the dealer removed the factory harness connector and soldered the wires together. I couldn't tell you if the power locks to that door sourced power from that connector, it may be just coincidence that I haven't had a problem since then.
