When I put my green turbo on I blew all pipes off in order from the intake manifold down to the outlet of the turbo lol... You just have to crank them puppies down..

How do they work you have to drill the pipes?

I'm pretty sure you are supposed to weld them on.

I second the cleaning your pipes and couplers. With a not too tight, not too loose, clean, beaded pipe blowing them off at 23psi is pretty hard to do. I guess you should also make sure that your clamps are behind the beads and not on top of them.

You have to weld the mounting feet to the IC pipes.

Gotcha, i dont have enough down time for that since its my DD. Yes my pipes are beaded and the clamps are behind the bead and not on them. I didnt clean them with alchol as mentioned which I will do if it blew at the same spot. I have a feeling that they blew somewhere else because I am very mechanically inclined (used to work for Honda and Acura dealers) and made sure that those fuggers were on there pretty good but not too much

t-bolt clamps suck cause they crush aluminum tubes

stainless tubes suck cause they just suck and thats just my personal opinion.

worm clamps suck cause they strip, even the nice ss liner clamps.

So...I'm fabricating aluminum pipes from the compressor housing to the throttle body using wiggens clamps. Kind of overkill, but fun project and will deffinately solve the problem.

http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product

They are ridiculously expensive and I'm no baller so I have been hoarding componets now for a while as I get closer to having it TIG'd up.

So far I have 3 sets of stock pipes and another set of custom pipes(LOL), a spare TB, a spare compressor housing and weld on vacum barbs.

I made an aluminum flange off the compressor to a 1.75 clamp and 2.5s into/ out of the IC, one between the IC and the TB and one on the TB.

sometime this spring when I get em' done I'll post pics.

Wiggins clamps look cool and effective, I too am not a baller and even if I was I would not pay that much for them.... Cheapest I found them was about $55 each !

However when you get yours done make sure you let me know and I might commission you to do some work if you are interested

Mine blew off once on the freeway at like 1am on the way home from a 45 min drive... Then again after I got tuned, and then 3 times at a NASA event... I bought a Tbolt clamp from a shop at the NASA event, and never had a single issue again.

Try this link, fourth one down...

http://www.justchil.net/evo/part_lis...st_clamps.html

They are from NAPA. They are heavy duty constant torque clamps. I was running 23psi, no problems.
